to any man woman or child who can get the hydraulic pump back in my 49 8N. I have worked on this for 4 days now and gotten more than a few gray hairs over it. I can get the pump up, and the rod "in" the ball socket. What I cannot do is get the pump to go forward (torwards) the engine enough to bolt it down. It just keeps banging against something...it wont' budge. I can slide it back and side to side, but then moving forward it slams into something and stops about 1/4-1/2" from lining up. Even with my wife helping I can't maneuver it into position. Someone tell me the secret please! I can't believe only 1 or 2 other N owners are the only ones who have struggled with this! Help!
