Well, maybe I do. But, if that 12 volt battery has any cold crank amps at all, the regulator ain't gonna pull enough to hurt it. (we are talking 3 of 550 or so cold crank amps) I suppose if the battery was junk to start with the amazing thermal resistor would be of some help. But with todays batteries I doubt that theroy holds much juice ;-)
