looked at your earlier post and this one and at first glance would have said seals but knowing that many of these older engines do not smoke even though the seals have been long gone. otherwise you appear to have an above average engine. What I am thinking is that the oil return from the head to oil galley is restricted causing too much oil to pool on top of the head and above the valve guides. This is the way I would attack this. first bring the engine up to operation temperature knowing that the oil (per dipstick) level is correct . shortly after shutdown check the oil level if it is about 1 1/2 to 2 qts low the oil is still on top of the head. now prepare to remove the valve cover haveing everything clear with the gas tank ready to lift off. warm up the enging remove the gas tank and valve cover if oil spills all over the oil return is your problem.
