I assume you are working on the model that has a brake drum mounted on the side of the rearend / trans housing. There is a slot or hole in the brake drum. Move the tractor or tire (if jacked up) to about 11 o'clock. At that point you should be able to see the adjustment gear cog. Use a brake spoon (or flathead screwdriver) to rotate the adjustment gear. I don't remember which way to turn it; (up or down) but: turn it a bit check your pedal travel; and you will know if you are tightening or loosening it. (adjusts the same way as old drum brakes on an auto)
