Come join us this year. Special events for MM Collectors on Friday & Saturday.
Parades each day and stock tractor pull Saturday.

LAKE REGION PIONEER THRESHERMEN -- TODAY TOUCHING YESTERDAY
2012: Featuring Minneapolis-Moline Tractors, Machinery, & Farm Equipment
Fri. 9:00 am: MM collectors trip to view the Dennis Salvie collection in Hancock, MN.
Fri. eve: MM collectors are invited to the Foxhome Fuder Farm for a pork feed & collection viewing.
Sat. eve: MM collectors Banquet will be held at 6:00 pm in the Dalton Community Center.

All our buildings contain unique displays. Have a fun time viewing all of them. (Want to join us?)

Buildings and exhibits are generally open from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. show admission next year &
On Sunday, exhibits open after the Community Church Service (9-10:00 am). personalized name tag! Demonstrations can be seen throughout the day around the grounds. Take a tour on one of the People Wagons.
MANDATORY SAFETY MEETING @ 9:00 am Fri. & Sat. for anyone driving in the daily parade.

Sawmill Café serving times: Breakfast -- 6:30 am to 10:00 am Dinner -- 11 am to 2 pm
Supper -- 4 pm to 6:30 pm
Our Savior’s-Ten Mile Lake Church serves breakfast & dinner in the Steam Building.
Headquarters Building: Show toys, Annual dues, Storage fees, Parade announcers.
Yesterday’s Memories– OUR HERITAGE MUSEUM ! show announcements & information center.
Inside you can visit the Mercantile and check out the “new” Old Store Front!
Also take a look at the Gift shops with lots of t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and other memorabilia.
A style show is on stage in the Museum Building on Sat. at 3:15 pm.
WOW! Take a look at the new Heritage Building with special displays & model trains.
See the crank organ, reed organ, talking machine, & music instruments.
Parade of Giants - 1:30 pm--Friday & Saturday, 1:00 pm--Sunday.
Antique car & truck parade about 1/2 hour before the Parade of Giants.
Downtown Dalton Parade - Saturday @ 11 am Sponsored by Dalton Lions Club.
Sawing lumber – 10 am--noon and 2:30--4:30 pm daily.
4-sided planer -1/2 hour @ 10 am, 12 noon, 2 pm, 4 pm.
Woodwork Shop—wood turning & hand woodworking. See the Dalton Reperbane (ropewalk).
Shingle making -10:30 am, 2:30 pm.
Chainsaw carving - In the sawmill area.
Blacksmith Shop - Open all day, casting hot metal daily.
Engines, Engines - In the Gas Engine Building & West of the Diesel Building.
Look outside around the grounds. Just listen; you won’t need the map!
Railroad - Rides given all days starting when the boiler is hot and continuing until the steam runs out.

Dalton 4-H Club Animal viewing area in the Horse Barn.
Steam Engines - Much huffing & puffing around the grounds. See these Giants in Action.
Field area- Threshing, plowing, - Mornings and after the Parade of Giants.
Scale model engines - in the Adelsman building. Scale model toys - In the Wheelock Building.
Check out the Hunting Heritage building and cleaning activities by the washerwoman.
Print Shop – Will there be any news to print?
School House - Open for classes, teacher is on duty, don’t forget your homework!
New-Old Gas Station – Thank You Fergus Falls Classic Car Club – Just think what price gasoline used to be!
Tractor Pull Area - Register for pulling after parade of Giants. Stock tractor pull at 4 pm Saturday.
Watch steam engines pulling when the modern tractors are done. 2 pulling sleds, 2 tracks, twice the fun.
Kids Pedal Tractor pull Sunday; register @ 10 am by log cabin area.
Laverne’s General Store Need a what-cha-ma-call-it? Check the shelves; see if you can find it!
Garden Tractor pull - after the Parade on Sunday at the pulling track.
Dynamometer - All days when the “Doctor” is in, no charge for diagnosis & no co-pay!
Log Houses & family homes – Could you live there with your family today?
Bountiful Harvest Church - Sunday School and other activities.
Music playing in the church: Sat. @ 3 pm—Fraser; Sun. after services--Courier
Otter Tail County Genealogical Society – Find out about your past in the St.Olaf Town Hall: Sat. & Sun.
Military Display – World War II Memorial registration information available, many unique displays.
Dalton American Legion donated items also in St.Olaf Town Hall.
Crafters: now located in the South end of the steam room across from the Depot.
Large Flea Market area - Open from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Crafts in various locations.
Free Friday evening entertainment - Museum Building: 7:00 pm-Knutson Family, 8:00 pm-Haining Family.
Free Saturday evening entertainment - Museum Building 7:00 pm-Fraser Family, 8:00 pm-Courier.
Sunday morning - Community Church Services from 9 -10:00 am - Museum Building.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract. ... [Read Article]
