This is a major KUDOs message. These guy's know their stuff. My 59 MF35 which I have owned for 2 weeks got stuck in second gear. After much head scratching I called some friends, which turned me on to this site. I found what i needed quickly in the archives and timed myself. They were spot on with the advice and it took 25 seconds to fix. Thanks guys. For you newbies (guess I'm still one, but feeling good now)... Open the transmission filler plug located to the left of the shifter, put a large screwdriver in front of the big gear you see towards the front of the tractor and gently slide the gear towards the rear of the tractor. You will feel the shifter slip into place. Make sure you got it into the correct position and away you go. Super easy. Thanks again to all you old hands for posting these fixes. Im sure i will be back again. Chris
