model 41 Dyna-Balance mower

I bought a 41 Dyna-balance mower at auction saturday. It seems to be in decent shape. (extra knife bar, and owners manual) The guy that sold it, had only worn out one set of knives, and had replaced the entire knife bar with a new one. I've already re-sectioned the old bar.

i bought it with the intent of re-selling, but I need one myself, to move road-sides and fence-rows around the farm. I'm contemplating keeping it.
OK, Here's my question. I've never had any experience with one of these mowers. How good are they? Anyone have one? Are they reliable? If I'm going to keep it' I don't want to be working on it constantly.
Most of my previous experience with siclebars, is with a model 39 Deere. I don't want anymore pitman arm mowers. Is the Massey Dyna-Balance drive good/better/best? Thanks for your help. John
