Well, I am a Farmall guy but I have had 5 Massey Ski-Whiz snowmobiles for a number of years and last year I bought a 1970 Massey 10 horse garden tractor and now I have bought a 925 Massey haybine...go figure... I will soon have more Massey Ferguson units than Farmall then I won't be a Farmall guy anymore..whoa ..anyway the haybine is home and I hooked up today and ran it..it appears to be as described ..in good working condition. I ran it along the lane to the back of the farm and because it is uneven I didn't really put it to the test. My question is what is the ideal ground speed/PTO speed for cutting or does it vary depending on the crop density? There will no doubt be a period of experimentation with it until I find the groove. The machine came with an extra knife and two packages of sections in the tool box. The only thing I had to change was the hydraulic end on one line to make it fit the I-H 584. I always get mixed up on these fittings ..pioneer will fit an I-H but not vice versa?? anyway I bought a box full of ends at an auction sale and I had an end that would fit, so I'm ready for the weather to cooperate. ..ready to make hay ...Mike in Exeter Ontario

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
