You don"t need to remove the pin to re-kit the ram. It may be awkward, but the rod can be removed from the cylinder by first removing the hydraulic nipple/fitting from the cylinder. Pull the rod out of the cylinder, while looking thru the port in the cylinder and you will see a circlip on the end of the ram rod. With a screwdriver or equivalent, pry the circlip into the next groove beside it. It will be slightly deeper, and allow the circlip to clear the ram casing when the rod is pulled further outwards. Once the rod is out, you can replace the leaking seals, Evan.
