Have you replaced both bearing rings and can be certain that the full number of ball bearings were fitted? Not sure what this means.I have replaced the bearing in the top of the column and the bearing and race in the bottom of the column. I can't remember how far in the race was on the original bearing on the bottom of the column . I am not sure how to make the pre-load adjustment I put the shims in but don't know how to measure it.
