The Massey Tractor Data Book by Keith D. Oltrogge shows a picture of an "Early 101 Junior" and it shows the screen grill. Introduced in 1939 they built 1,156 row crop versions and 926 standard versions. It says the early ones only had the 124, but many were changed later to the 140 or 162's as the blocks are identical. They went to the 140 in 1940 then in 1943 went to the 162 according to Oltrogge.
Nothing in the data book about fender type or wheel type at all, just the photo of the early one with the screened grille. It isn't uncommon to find all kinds of mix and matched wheels, fenders etc on all brands.
