clean the outside of the rod end of the cylinder barrel good, look for an indention that's filled with sealant,pick the sealant out then you should be able to see the retaining wire,using a spanner wrench in the 2 holes in the end of the cylinder packing gland rotate it counter clock wise and see if the wire starts coming out of the hole if not turn it the other way until it comes out,sometimes you have to help it start with a small screw driver,once started continue turning until it gets to the starting point then it can be removed,it is long enough to wrap around the gland and has a square bend on the starting end,once removed the packing gland can be removed with the cylinder rod,if you can find an I&T repair manual for your tractor it explains most all repairs and has break down drawings pictures
