So then my 44's and my 44 special, all with the same front casting . Right down to the part number must be all wrong.
1954 44 special, 1953 44, 1951 44, 1950 44 and 1949 44, all the same. Also the same tub as my two 55's, although the 55 tubs are machined differently at the mount pads for the engine.
1947 44 Shorter by about 6". best I can do with a tape measure by myself. Also same tub as my 30.
Cant we all just agree that these things left the factory in all sorts of configurations.
Cant tell you how many times I"ve been told my 1953 with cast wheels and hand clutch is a special. I finally painted the serial number on the engine silver so i could show that it was a H260. original engine, Grampa"s old tractor...
