Hi David, I recall the noise being present whether the clutch is depressed or not. I thought that it might be a bearing in the PTO so I pushed and released the clutch pedal. Didn"t seem to change at all. I would need to fill the transmission again and try it at medium rpms to be absolutely sure. I suppose that I can drain the fluid into clean buckets and re-use if it I need to open it up. Thanks for the reply.
