The draft control isn't used to control the height of the 3 pt. Draft control is only used with ground engaging implements. Without seeing your set up, I'd guess you have 2 levers on the trans. cover. Only one is plumbed because the other one(usually the inside one) is internally plumbed to operate the 3 pt. from the side 3pt. controls. You pull it back and the side controls should work the 3 pt. You can't use the aux. at the same time and that lever must remain in neutral. When using the aux. hyd's., the 3 pt. lever has to be in neutral and the side controls all the way up. Draft control all the way up and position all the way up, then pushed over past the normal stop and pulled up even further into constant pumping position. The outside lever on the trans. cover would be used to operate the aux. hyds' or pulled back to supply oil to the seperate loader valve. If you could post some pictures of what you have would help.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
