Hi Roy, Yes, it could well be a control sping problem. The best way to test it is to fit something like a mower if it hangs out at the back to provide a good test. Don't connect the top link to the tractor. Use a suitable chain and connect the mower top link bracket to the lugs on the centre housing. Do not use the tractor top link bracket. If the spring is loose/worn/broken incorrect movement can cause the pump to move towards 'neutral' and not provide any lift. If the hydraulics work OK this way then the control spring will need to be removed and serviced as the first step. DavidP, South Wales
