Hey TONY thats what started my trip into tractor restoration.Used the tractor for the summer then the first snow fall I use it to clear the driveway .I heard a really rattle coming from top engine so I shut it down.I called a friend he said it maybe just carbon build-up on top of pistons so I pulled the head and the pistons were pretty clean, the only thing I could see is #2 piston was a little shiny like cresent moon where it had hit the head. Next the oil pan I did'nt see anything until I rotaded the crank, it was a tiny little crack as I moved it further I could see it was broken.I called a couple of places and they wanted $2800 to $4600 plus the cost of crank to rebuild,if they could find a crank. Well needing the tractor I learned how to use the internet and ordered the rebuild kit with crank fromYT. When I ran into some problems?questions the guys at YT told me about the massey forums, wish I new about them sooner might have saved a lot of mistakes!!! Oh well live to learn
