There should be no bother. Iwent to see an old 65 diesel last week, it had been sitting in a field for 10 years.I never even thought to look at filters, I loosened the bleed screws on the injector pump and one injector line, pumped the hand primer and got diesel, then tightened the bleed screws but left the injector line loose, connected the booster cables to my SUV battery and it started like it had been used an hour before!. Iam of course speaking from the UK but our 230 had all the CAV296 filter, some pics of replacements above. On some models with only one filter we used the long filter in the first pic. Sam
