I have a 1974 Massey Ferguson 1085 that is having some hydraulic issues. The three point will come all the way up when I start the tractor, no matter what position the controls are in. It looks like the controls are not set right but has been apart by the previous owner and do not know how they go back together correctly. If someone has a picture of the linkage on the three point controls that would be a great help. The three point has all the way up or all the way down and to get it down you have to run it the control all the way forward indstead of backward, something has got to be out of wack, that is why I am wanting pictures of the linkage to see what they have wrong. I have ordered a service manual but it is not here yet. The PTO always turns but I figure that is the PTO brake bad and will replace it when I go into the transmission, the PTO takes for ever to lock up as well. When I put a brush hog behind it, it will take about 10 seconds before it loads the motor. I was told these have two pumps, one for the 3 point and one for the auxilliary hydrualics. The Auxilliary has between 2200 and 2500 PSI which I understand is good. Any help would be great. Thanks!!!

It was on his farm that I learned to use the combination hand clutch and brake on a John D
