i finnaly got the MH 44 i bought a couple months ago running and got the power steering problem figured out. tore the steering box completly apart and put new bushing, dust seal, etc.. in there got it put back together. Finnaly got it running good enough to use was moving some brush to the burn pile. tractor was working great but it was about 9 pm so i decided to call it a night and as i was backing it into my shop it made noise and shut off. it wasnt the "out of gas" kind of sound if you know what im mean it was shut down real abrupt and sudden. Now i cant get it to crank over (no big suprise there my starter spins otu and doesnt catch fly wheel all the time) but ussualy it will always start by pulling it behind a truck and popping the clutch. Now when i pop the clutch it stops my 3/4 ton truck in 4x4 with new tires in its tracks. I tried it in about every gear from 2-5 (in 5th gear the tires did move a little). It has all fluids, oil is black but not too bad and a little low but still within reason on the dip stick.
what do you think? engine seized?
something to do with the clutch?
Im really hoping i didnt mess it up real bad becuase i missed a sign that something needed fixed or something. Any input is greatly appreciated!
