I took the top cover off today and I think I made it worse. I just dont understand how to do the adjustment. There are two spring loaded adjustment screws one for draft and one for the control lever. Yesterday, before taking off the top cover I tightened the nut on the control lever and it went back far enough to operate the control value. Today I messed with the draft screw and then I had to loosen the control lever nut to make the control lever go back. So one day tightening makes it go back and the next loosening makes it go back!
Oh, and I took the top cover off because I dropped my socket wrench under the pump. You can adjust those nuts without taking off the top cover with a 1/2" socket on a 1/4" drive ratchet, but tie a string to your tools!
