All right we all make mistakes...my first was starting the late morning with pizza and chocolate milk.....I hadn't had a bite in 2 days....I wish I would have just gone hungry.... ANYWAY, there is a nut on the casting which extends to the flywheel. From my perspective, the cap would clear it. Not how it happened. It only took me three hours to figure it out. Well, when I removed the nut, the cap came right out like it should. Guess what? The roller bearings (the 3 left) were more like little rectangles. It ruined the cap,(totally ate it out in an oblong shape ) and now it looks as if I am going to have to replace the cam. I'm not sure yet. The farthest over left lobe feels like ut has a flat spot on one side....I don't know how to get the race off..... SO, I took 3 hours this evening and went fishing to relax. It worked, and I caught a 9 lb catfish. Now I am hitting the hay as they say. I would have never looked under the cap, if you had not mentioned it. Thank you so very much. I will post my further progress this weekend....'night...AC

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
