hey wayne, my 2120 JD has done this for almost 2 years, i wondered what it was myself, never has given me any problems. the jerking does get the dirt off your plows!!! far as the lift not staying up, 2 out of 3 of our tractors don't stay up no time, age and use of the tractor contributs to this, good sign the tractor has some use on it.
