Here are a few more things to add, the 4640 had a Bosch "A" pump on it, it had 10mm plungers, compared to 9.5 mm on the 4440. I pull a 4440 and have never seen a 4640 in the 13,000 lb class. We have one we pull w/ duals nd wght on in the 18500, I have seen them in the 15,500. I MIGHT have seen one just barly make it in the 13,500 class but I can't say for sure, seemed to me it was stripped of everything. How big of equipment do you plan to pull with it? A 4440 will handle up to about a 28' disk, 12r planter, cultivator, with a touch of the mighty 10mm socket of course, for those of you that know what i mean. That's here in western Iowa. It's pretty common to see 4440's run 180 ball park hp.
