I have had this problem brought to me for repair it is allways pits or holes through the sleeves ,it is caused by cavitation in the water jacket,as stated by others use J.D.additive in the coolant this helps some,but is not the cure!I have repaired the same tractor two times and her sister off the same farm who is a couple of years older with about the same amount of use is still running strong! Hope this helps you. John
