Triston, If the steering wheel is easy to turn stop to stop, when turning steering wheel slow as you have stated, problem is not likely in the metering pump under dash as it controls/meters speed of flow to keep steering controllable while at the same time controls position of the steering valve. I would suspect you have a restriction that is limiting the flow to/from the metering pump. If there has been any hoses, lines or fittings changed on the steering system circuitry check them for restriction. A good place to look would be a hose made on a hose machine that somebody over crimped the end on to the point of restriction. I have seen hoses that were over crimped where they were pinched clear shut and would not flow a drop under 2200 pounds of pressure. Hope you find your problem. Good Luck, DW
