A friend of mine wants to swap out a 4010 assembly for a 4020, since he thinks it will be less expensive/less work instead of completely rebuilding the trans, diff is ok. Has anybody done this,tractor was none running, rebuilt the engine front half of the tractor then drove tractor around and found out reverse just grinds, told him if he has to rebuilt the topshaft and have to replace the reverse gear, that gear, the gear on the mainshaft and countershaft has to be replaced also, which he doesn't want to do. thanks chris
