I'm working on a model 50 two cyl and it has a wire on the distributor side of the ign coil going to the ign switch switch, along with the wire going to the distributor. I checked a wiring diagram in Deere service manual and it shows that wire but I cannot find any explanation for it's purpose.
It is also shown on some of the other models of similar vintage but not all of them.
