But I do think that the scrap man is gonna pay the same per lb regardless of B, 60 gas or 60 LP. So roughin" it out weight wise...that makes the 60 gas about $1065, the LP about $1200 and the B about $720, the be looks like it at least has a starting point; some nice grilles, if I were close I might wave 5 $100 bills at him...but I can hear the crusher working those 60s already they gonna get expensive quick!
Scrap's $355 a ton where you are??? It's $190 here. That 60 is worth $475 in iron *here* (SW WI).
EDIT - I see what you mean. HE says scrap is worth $340 a ton (.17 a pound). That tractor doesn't weigh more than 2.5 ton with all that's missing ~$850 @ $340/ton. I bought a 60 out of a fencerow in much better shape than that one for $800 back in 2004 (still use it from time to time). Good running 60's bring $2500ish here. I find it unlikely these ol' girls are gonna be saved. Sorry, but they're just too far gone for the money.

Today's Featured Article - Farmall 460: That's My Girl - by LeAnn R. Ralph. How many sounds can you think of that are as familiar to you as your own breathing? What about the hum of your refrigerator? Or the thump of your clothes dryer? Maybe the engine of your car? You hear those sounds every day, and you don't think much about them, do you. I can think of a few common, ordinary sounds in my daily life, too.
