The 1000 only PTO doesn't bother me much. The only thing this tractor would do that requires a 540 shaft is run a 375 bushel Knight 716 slinger manure spreader. The slinger was 1000 PTO optional, and I put an ad on CL looking for a junk spreader to rob the parts off to make it 1000. It's unlikely I'll find them, but I have an adapter here and I'll just keep the tractor under 1500 rpms while spreading. Otherwise, the rest of the work here is drawbar or 3 point. Frankly 1000 only PTO is an advantage because they cost less than 4430s, bringing them closer to what I can afford. Any good 4430 worth owning around here is still $15,000 or better. The 4430 on the sale last week was shook (had to ether start it on an 80 degree day, no door, no rear window, rust holes through the floor, junk fenders) and it still brought $6500
Are the seat assemblies really $750? I was gonna try to find a used one. I can install it myself. I just went completely through the seat assembly on my 4430. It kinda sucks to do, but it isn't a difficult job and hard to screw it up...
