The chisel,tires, plus disc and fact that it is running with out having to redo it sounds better.The 8630 had a decent cab the rest could have been better.The Steigers and Versatiles were made to last.Our 8630 seemed like it liked to go back to the JD more than We had hoped.Sounds like you are going to use it for lighter work so should be fine.Usually collant lose and smoke,equate to a few thousand $s.Past rebuild doesnt help much.I would be surprised if the 9800 hr one has not been gone thru.Very few made it past 6000 hrs.
