A while back I posted about a neighbours 4020 -spun crank and rod bearings - we did get the engine totally rebuilt - I replaced the pto clutch discs, plates, brake, release spring, and gear, freed up park brake cable that was seized, had the starter and generator both rebuilt, repaired the start button wire and circuit ground wires that were broken 3 inches from the starter solenoid ( that is why they had to use a screwdriver to start the tractor for 25 years!!!), installed a mechanical oil gauge -as Tim S had shown before- fixed a bunch of little stuff, did not even bleed fuel system-just pumped quite a bit of fuel through with new transfer pump, cranked the engine for 30 seconds and it started and ran good - PTO works good, both batteries were charging 13.8 volts with no light connected??? -the neighbour is very happy - nothing that $8500 couldn't fix!!!!
