Its not a BIG job, but it is one that if done incorrectly can cause you many headaches. You may be looking at new fan gears, bearings, weights, weight pins etc. which adds up to BIG $. There is more than meets the eye to rebuilding one, so you'd better either get a good service manual, find a KNOWLEDGABLE friend, or look for one of the videos that show the ins and outs of rebuilding one. There are a lot of tricks to disassembling one without tearing it up, (or making yourself crazy) and putting it back together properly, with the fan gear backlash properly set, the timing on, and all oil ports properly cleaned. Whatever you do, don't run it any more until the problem is addressed, or you may do a great deal of damage to the engine.
