My 58 JD 630 has slung oil out of the fly wheel side since I got it about 9 years ago. Have a brand new shop now and I can't live with the oil drippings when I drive it on the shop apron and inside so I end up with card board everywhere. I looked at my parts book to identify parts that likely should be replaced. My local JD dealership don't really know much about 2 cylinder tractors so they could not give me any advice on what parts I really needed to fix the problem. I did order the following parts/key:
We could not figure out if AA5409/11 spacer was needed or not. (It subs to A3324R,with packing) A3324R lists for $277.98 so I don't want to order it if not needed as Mother Deere won't take it back. I don't skimp on parts but I don't want to throw away $278 either.
Has anyone done this repair and can give me some advice on parts usually needed and some hints on repair issues. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I'm getting the tractor ready for a tractor cruise our antique club is planning for May and I don't want to be dripping lots of oil.

It was on his farm that I learned to use the combination hand clutch and brake on a John D
