The console 4020 transmission from 69/72 I believe to be the same. The 4000 was a little different in the syngronizers. The shift lever was longer in 71/72.The rest of the tractor is why[ most] prefer the 69/72 due to hydraulics location .The pto that was manually engaged on 64/68 is prefered by some as it can be eased in.The lack of aircleaner[option] and smaller muffler made them sleeker in design and there is at least a couple thousand $s difference if nice.
