My 3020 is a side console and has no cable. Rods activate the lever. I have larger tires on the 3000 diesel from a 4400. The first final drive broke in a wierd way, the hub split in a circle around the bolt holes, so the wheel never fell off but the the axle hub actually spun inside the wheel bolt circle. Second one from Keiters lasted one week in corn and came apart at the retaining nut on the inside of the shaft. That happened on the black top road. For the third one I took parts from each of the broken ones and was able to repair a drve. Same problem again on this one, the nut worked loose on the inside and out came the axle, again it broke on the highway. Local towing outfit now knows how to haul combines on a boom. I am now afraid to drive the diesel. There seems to be a big difference in gear ratios between the gasser and the diesel, the gasser will run circles around the diesel.
