Probably when you look at the tractor in person,if it is a European spec tractor, you should see an air compressor up by the thermostat housing (pulling air brake trailers),a hand parking brake, European style trailer plug,a few extra indicator lights on the dash,and it probably has brake lights,along with the headlights on the front. Might want to check the rpm of the 540 pto shaft,it's a six spline shaft but turns at 1000 rpm, an American 540 shaft for a 4255 will bring it down to 540. Basically the same internals,same road speed. Parts are available through Deere, some of the oddball Euro spec parts take a little while to get. I had one I bought used with 5000hrs, and ran it 4000+ hours without any problems. They usually sell $3-7k less than the American version

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
