I use my press and try to carefully push the seals into place. Seals today are so flimsy they can can distort easy and this seems worse for me when I try and drive them into place. This may or may not be an issue here ? I also clean off the outsides of the seals and put a hardening type of sealer on them so as they don't get backed out with some back pressure. I also cover the splines with an old microfiche card to protect the seal lips as I slide it together.
