Always been curious as to where these engines come from. I've heard that the first ones were built in Dubuque, IA, and I know that nowadays they are built in Saran, France. I'm mostly wondering about the 276's, 329's, and 359's used in the '70's-'90's. Were the 300 series engines used in U.S. built tractors like the 4030 built in Dubuque? How about the engines used in the German built tractors like the 2955, were those built in France or Germany? As long as we're on this topic, at what point did Deere's utility tractors start coming over from Germany? Like a 2630, I believe that was U.S. built, but what about a 2640 or 2840?
