Thanks for the info, Phil. I pretty much had the belt routed as you described, but could use some confirmation on specifics. From the left side of the crank pulley, it goes to the inside of the looped brass rod guide, then to the V pulley. From there, it goes outside the flat bar which comes up off the mower deck lift/lower bar, then back to the transaxle. From the right side of the crank pulley, it S-curves through the flat/V pulley assembly, then on to the transaxle. The flat/V pulley assembly has two springs on it. There is a two-piece compression spring on the right side which attaches to the brake bar. There is a black tension spring on the left side. This is the spring that came off and shredded my belt, so I don't know where the other end attaches. Does this go the the V pulley near the front? If I get this working again, I'll try to get some pictures for my (and others) future reference. Thanks again.
