rem0h, It sounds like a fuel level problem - to check the true fuel level, locate a 1/8" pipe thread hose barb and a foot-long piece of plastic tubing which fits over the barb. Remove the drain plug on the bottom of the carb and replace it with the hose barb. Turn on the fuel and the fuel level will rise in the plastic, so you can tell the true fuel level. It should be about 5/8" below the top of the bowl, and the float should be approximately level with the top casting when held upside down. There are several things which could cause a high fuel level besides a bad float - the bowl vent being top on my list. Reply back with what you find with the fuel level, both static and after the tractor has run, and we can try to help further.
