Jeff, I just recently removed a flywheel that must have never been off and it was really tight. I couldn't pull it or drive it off so I removed the cover on the other end, the top cover with the deer insignia, removed the chain, and then removed the lower sprocket by turning it counter-clockwise (it is threaded onto the shaft). I had to heat the spocket to get it to turn, and then used a brass drift and large hammer on the teeth to turn it. You will also have to remove the two bolts behind the flywheel which hold the the flange on the main gear case. After I got the whole flywheel/shaft with bearings out, I put it in a hydraulic press and it pressed out of the flywheel pretty easily. Good luck. Any questions, just ask. David

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
