yours would have been a seeled greasless type bearing, if his is that age then it would have been a grease type with no rubber seals but they did make a newer version of that size that took the same bearings as yours, would it have the built in crank jack to control the depth, if so then it is the older version, the newer version uses a pin only for depth control, the early version you did not need to have a cylinder on to lift, just turn crank
