Gary, thanks for your answer. Wish I could email you and talk about the HOUSE BOSS-10. I think the one I bought was a return sale but can't prove it. Within the first three hours of use the right blade assy. fell off. Later the trailing wheels came apart, the star couplers had to be replaced, rebuilt right gear box, both boxes output shafts are lose again. The gear boxes are stamped MADE IN USA. But the right one had China's bearings inside. All this happened within the first year. I cut about 20 ten foot wide strips twice a year. So you can see why I am pi----. Both gear boxes need to be replaced again. Other than being an eingineer's nightmare, I found the lower output bearing's inner race is on the splines of the output shaft, eating up the bearing inner race. I almost went to court over this bush hog, now I wish I had. I really did go to a tractor salvage yard last year and saw a stack of 8 and 10 foot new ones they were parting out. Then I knew for sure I had a 2000.00 lemmon. For all the knowit alls out there, I also have 2 six foot hogs of another make I have been using for the last 23 years. I just hate to be taken for a ride by a company and have them tell me to get lost. How long have you used it since it was repaired? Thanks for letting me vent off some steam.

It was on his farm that I learned to use the combination hand clutch and brake on a John D
