the weight of the plow outa the ground is what will be the worst, i have a ford 8000 and i have a JD 4 bottom mounted plow, i could plow with a smaller tractor probably, but i doubt it would lift it, the 4 bottom is over 8 ft long, so a 5 bottom is probably closer to 10ft, thats alot of weight that far back, my tractor has no problem lifting it, but i wouldnt try to lift it with anything smaller,i have a friend who had it on a 60 hp MF, that was just to carry it home, and at that time it had 2 bottoms missing frogs, shares, and moldboards, so it had considerably less weight on it, i doubt that 60 hp MF would even lift it with all the parts on it, so i would think that a 5 bottom plow would take a tractor of about 100 hp or so to lift it and carry it easily
