For the "1st furrow", with a properly adjusted plow and rear wheel settings, all you will really need to do is set the plow Deeper..about 3 to 4 turns on the crank, then return it after the complete 1st round.. If it is the same as a 3-14" AC snap-coupler plow... Looking Back at the crank, turn it Clockwise to set the plow deeper (shortening the upper link).. I am not sure which AC tractor you have that would be narrow enough to set it up for only a 2-14".. I have checked the Snap-Coupler upper arm latches by releasing the Snap-Coupler and the upper arms release with no hesitation what so ever..which is NOT so, with the old cross-pin attachment that early WD tractors used.. All WD AC's should be up-dated to the Snap-Coupler for Safety..

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
