The set screws don't seem to help much either if you do grind the p shaped piece down just go maybe a 1/4 on each on at a time maybe not even that much it will really make a big difference on how the plows work on hard ground. To get the p shaped piece out I chained each bottom to a big tree and then drove the tractor ahead to trip the bottom its a good idea to use a block of wood to help hold the beam up while you take the piece out just in case the chain broke
