Could I please get the plate numbers also? Last year for a vegetable farmer I made adapter for a standard plate taking a piece of sheet metal from a furance duct and laying the plate on top of the sheet metal traced the outer diameter of the plate and also the inside hole and then cut out the inside hole and the outside diameter then placing the plate back on top of the sheet metal marked every third seed spot and cut in about 1/4 inch on each side of the spots marked and then bent those spots down at a 90 degree angle and then put sheet metal on top of the plate with the bent down tabs into the hole and put it in the seed box on a IH 56 planter and it worked great to plate Zucchini Squash at the desired space

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
