I FINALLY FOUND A SAW SET, A TOOTH SETTER. mY TEETH WERE ALL BUT INLINE. i CUT BY MYSELF, AND HAVE NO OFF BEARER, SO THE TEETH GET STRAIGHTENED EVENTUALLY.
aFTER SETTING, i JUST FILE EACH INDIVIDUAL TOOTH IN A COMFORTABLE ANGLE WITH THE END OF THE FILE GOING OUT IN THE DIRECTION THE TOOTH IS ANGLED. aFTER FILEING THE RUST OFF, i THEN TAKE THE FILE, A FLAT ONE, AND RUN IT OUT FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BLADE STRAIGHT OUT IN LINE WITH THE BLADE AND BRING IT OUT. kINDA LIKE FILEING THE BACK SIDES OF SICKLE MOWER SECTIONS. tHIS TAKES THE WIRE EDGE OFF. i DO ALL ON ONE SIDE, THEN DO THE OTHER SIDE THE SAME WAY.
if ANYBODY EVER NEEDS A HAMMERMILL BELT. LOOK AROUND FOR USED ROUND BAILER BELTING. i HAVE 2 FULL LENGTHS THAT MAKES A long BELT AROUND 50FT. but i NOTICE THAT THE SAW RUNS SMOOTHER WITH A LONG BELT. iM USEING A SHORT ONE TODAY AS IVE MOVED THE SAW FROM ITS ACCOSTOMED PLACE AFTER 30YRS SO AS TO CUT GREEN WOOD AND PUT IT IN A PILE OUTSIDE THE WOOD SHED. wHEN IM DONE, AND THAT OUGHT TO BE AROUND 3 RICKS, iLL REMOVE THE SAW BACK SO THAT THE BLADE STICKS INSIDE THE WOOD SHED, AND RESET IT THERE TO CUT A BIG OLE TREE THATS BEEN WIND BLOWN OVER FOR A YEAR AND GOOD AND DRY.

Today's Featured Article - Madison's County - by Anthony West. Philip Madison has been a good friend of mine for quite some time. He has patiently suffered my incessant chit chat on the subject of tractors for longer than I care to remember, and on many occasions he has put himself out, dropped what ever it was he was doing, to come and lend a hand cranking handles, or loading a find onto a trailer. Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects. ... [Read Article]
