I am going to plant soybeans with a JD 7100 plate planter and am trying to decide if I should use the 24 cell SOY-2 or the 32 cell SOY-3X plate. Will the 32 cell give me better seed distribution? I used the 24 cell plate last year and it seemed like the seed came out in bunches, dropping 4-5 seeds at a time. The beans seemed to yield OK, but it would be nice to get more uniform spacing of the seeds. New plates are about $15 ea., so I would like to know if the SOY-3X plates will do better before I spend over $100 for the plates & shipping. Thanks.
